COMMON LAW ADMISSION TEST is a nationwide entrance examination for admission to courses like BA-LLB, B.com LLB, BSc.LLB, BBA-LLB and BSW-LLB in various Government and private colleges and universities in India.

Eligibility:
- There will be no upper age limit.
- The minimum percentage of marks in the qualifying examination (i.e., 10+2) is as follows:
- Forty five percent (45%) in case of candidates belonging to Unreserved/OBC/Specially Abled Persons (SAP) and other categories, and
- Forty Percent (40%) marks in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST) categories.
- Candidates who are appearing in the qualifying examination in March/April, 2019 are also eligible to appear in CLAT-2019 online examination. However, they shall be required to produce an evidence of their passing the qualifying examination at the time of admission, failing which they shall lose their right to be considered for admission.
- In case of equal marks, the break of tie shall be by the following procedure and order as under:
- Higher marks in the component /section on legal aptitude in the CLAT-2019 exam;
- Higher age;
- Computerised draw of lots.
Syllabus:
- The questions will be from the broad areas of Logical Reasoning, Legal Aptitude, English, General Knowledge and Current affairs and Mathematics.
Duration of examination:
- 2 hours
Pattern of examination:
- The exam will be of 200 marks with 200 questions (1 mark for each correct answer).
- Weightage of subjects:
English: 40 questions
Mathematics: 20 questions
General Knowledge: 50 questions
Logical reasoning: 40 questions
Legal Aptitude: 50 questions
- There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer.
