AIIMS UG EXAM IS REPLACED BY NEET UG EXAM
NEET 2021– National Testing Agency (NTA) is the conducting body of NEET 2021.
The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is the largest entrance examination for admissions to medical, dental, and AYUSH courses in the country. NEET was introduced by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in the year 2016, replacing AIPMT, as a National entrance examination held yearly for admission to medical and dental courses of the country. LATEST: NEET 2021 to only be conducted once in offline mode. NTA will be conducting NEET 2021 in the same pattern. Initially supposed to be held twice a year, NEET 2021 will only be held once a year as per a press release issued by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) on August 21. Also, the NTA will hold NEET 2021 in offline mode only once a year.
NEET 2021 – What’s new?
- The conducting body of the exam is the National Testing Agency (NTA), instead of CBSE.
- The exam will be held once a year, and there will be no change in the exam pattern.
- The mode of conduction of NEET 2021 will be offline only, as a pen and paper test.
NEET Eligibility Criteria 2021
Aspirants require to fulfill certain eligibility criteria in order to appear in the examination. The application forms of the ineligible candidates are not accepted, so aspirants are advised to go through the NEET 2021 eligibility criteria listed below. The age of the candidates must at least be 17 years as on December 31, 2020. The candidates must not exceed 25 years in age as on May 6, 2020.
The candidates must have qualified in Class 12 or qualifying examination or must be appearing in the same in 2020. In the qualifying exam the candidates must have scored an aggregate of 50% (for unreserved), 45% (for Physically Handicapped -PH), and 40% (for reserved including the PH reserved) in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Candidates are required to have studied Biology/Biotechnology with practicals in both Classes 11 and 12. Candidates with Biology as an additional subject in Class 12 alone are also eligible for NEET 2021.
